About us
Nathuram was born on 19th May 1910 in a cultured family. As a child gifted with sharp intellect and inquisitive nature, he was proud of Hinduism. Hindu religion, its history and Hindu culture were his topics of interest and he had studied them deeply. Therefore there wasn’t any blind faith in the Hinduistic approach he had cherished throughout his life. When he was young, he was even involved in the campaign to uplift the social status of untouchables.

By the time he reached matriculation, he was thoroughly engrossed in reform activities for the nation. Nathuram had command over English language. And he used to read a lot. He had read the literature of Dadabhai Nourojee, Vivekananda, Gopal Krushna Gokhale and Lokamanya Tilak. Hindustan’s origins, its evolution as a nation and its ancient history attracted him a lot. He had also studied the histories of England, France, America, Russia and other eminent nations. He had closely examined the principles of socialism and communism. And apart from this, he was a keen observer of the articles and the statements of Gandhiji and Savarkar.

Based on the outlook developed due to this reading & thinking, he used to think that being a true patriot and dedicating his life to Hinduism, Hindu Rashtra was his core duty. He was committed to the same till the very end of his life. He died and became martyr on 15th November 1949.
But his thoughts are immortal and will continue to inspire every Hindu who is proud of being a Hindustani…
